What Were You Born To Be?

Many years ago I heard the story of the son of King Louis XVI of France. King Louis had been taken from his throne and imprisoned. Those who dethroned the king took his young son, the prince. They thought that inasmuch as the king’s son was heir to the throne, if they could destroy him morally, he would never realize the great and grand destiny that life had bestowed upon him. They took him to a community far away, and there they exposed the lad to every filthy and vile thing that life could offer. They exposed him to foods

Live in Deep Water

The message below was shared by Mitt Romney – many of you know he has been a extremely successful businessman, a governor, and ran for President last year. I thought this was some great advice. Enjoy! I don’t remember when it was exactly that I finally went past the sandbar. My family had a summer cottage on the shores of one of the Great Lakes. For the first forty or so feet, the lake is shallow, warm, and protected from big waves by the sandbar. That’s where I spent most of the hot summer days as a boy. I liked

Vision, like belief, is internal. It is in our judgment, understanding and imagination. The word “vision” comes from the old Germanic word “vissen” and it means, “I know what I see.” When you have a vision you know what you see and it doesn’t matter whether anyone else sees it or not. The

Perception Creates Reality

When I was young, I loved magicians; I actually wanted to be one. My favorite magician was Harry Houdini. I read several books about his life and watched everything I could find on him. Houdini was a master magician and was best known as an escape artist. He said that he could escape from any jail cell in the world in less than an hour. A small town in the British Isles built a new jail they were extremely proud of and issued the challenge to Houdini to see if he could escape from one of their cells. Houdini loved
